Intro into Robotics

Hello, My name is Joshua Copeland and this is the page where you can explore the projects of my Robotics class in my final semester at Beacon College. I have worked on many projects when it comes to this class, and with the help of my partner, Isaac, we were able to complete all the tasks that were assigned to us using the SPIKE program.

Mini-Challenge: Smile

This is a simple challenge. Using the light matrix, we have to program the robot to smile or some other display. This was a nice little preview into the course and what we were going to do. I wrote "This class is fun while Isaac did the face. In the end, this was a easy challenge to start the class with.

Mini-Challenge: Collecting Spilled Silverware

For this challenge, we need to program the robot to drive, pick up and bring back one utensil to the start line. Using motors and centimeters made this one different from the others. Isaac was the programming while I gave suggestions on how to make it better.

Challenge: Cleaning the House

This challenge was our mid-term project. For this one, we have to drive and bring two utensil back to the start line. Then we have to drive around the crater and push a piece of trash to the utensil bin. Once again, Isaac was in charge of programming while I was giving suggestions. While we did have our difficulties, we succeeded in the end.

Mini-Challenge: Searching for Ice Part 2

This one was one of our final challenges in this course. For this one, we have to drive around the octagon, and stop and make a sound for analysis. Since my partner was absent, I had to do this challenge myself. I will say, these projects take a ton of patience, but it's worth it to get a good grade in the end.

Digital Video/Music Studio

These are two classes I took while in my time in college. Focusing on music and video editing, I enjoyed these courses immensely and here's hoping you enjoy it too.

Movie Project

This is a project I did in college where I had to replace the original audio of a movie clip with my own using GarageBand.

Video Game Project

In this project, I had to use GarageBand to create original sounds and music for this game trailer.

Commercial Project

For this project, I used GarageBand to record audio and create music for this Samsung Galaxy Note commercial.
